But, nevertheless, we can remain hopeful that the once-great series may return to its former glory, especially as season 9 will essentially be a soft reboot, or, as former showrunner Scott Gimple calls it a. Sure, season 8 did drag, but at times it unleashed its brilliance in short bursts. Wait, so do we see Rick DIE in The Walking Dead season 9 trailer? The season 9 trailer has a lot going on.
